Wandering Broke Back Mountain

Adventure Tarot CardKALW's Fresh Air broadcast of Dion's interview from 2000 woke her the second time this morning. Such a refreshing change from the mental deluge of carnage from Iraq. Her first inkling of waking was with the Morning Edition broadcast of a soldier poet and she was half-awake during a question about a suicide recorded in verse. She thanks her mind for retiring quickly again after that brief peek in to the morning's offerings.

Dion's voice sounds gruff, aged, and fabulous. The acoustic blues sounds exactly where his voice needs to be. It's lovely.

Off to the bathroom to do a half-prep on the day. Teethbrushing and relieving herself, in reverse order. Burt's Bee's Lavendar Mint didn't taste so potent in her mouth. As she scrubbed her teeth with her Preserve toothbrush she was disgusted with three things involving the sink:

1) Finger nail clippings strewn about the sink!
2) Shaving cream foam stuck in the basin!
3) Continued presence of tiling affixer all over the faucet!

She doesn't consider herself anal. Her room is testament to that, in that it's usually in some sort of flux. However her bathroom and kitchen need to be havens.
She's lived in less-than-ideal conditions for far too long. As she told herself in the mirror yesterday, "This is the year where you discover your deep beauty, self, purpose." She will not allow herself less-than-ideal. It's not productive for her.

There's a brush she purchased for the purpose of cleaning the bathroom. She sprayed Mrs. Meyer's Geranium spray
and scrubbed the disturbances away, albeit resentfully. She's stewing still as she writes this, JASON mouthwashing rinsing away plaque from between her teeth.

The sunshine is incredible, absolutely amenable to moving items today, which she will do. She has an agreement with David to pick up the key today. And she is RATHER pleased.

She wants to create a schedule, timeline, todo list for herself. She knows that staying the course requires for her to have instruction. Focus, focus, focus.

She writes, but to what end? Her goal is to find a way to maximize her potential. She will.

John Power's review of Broke Back Mountain has her intrigued to see it at the Parkway Theater in Oakland.

Laundry is begun. Shower is next and then Friday's poses. What will yoga do for her today?
